Because by god, I’m going to care about this show no matter what. Spoilers, I guess. I’m frankly amazed by the fact that there are timely subs for this show, by the way.
- Perhaps the show’s main fault is the fact that Yoshiyuki is a bland, horrible protagonist with no personality whatsoever. Seriously. The guy doesn’t fucking react to anything that happens around him, let alone girls coming on to him. Koko’s dying of magical hereditary aids? Oh well. Otome and Yume both totally want to fuck him? He’s not even fucking aware. Geez. Seriously now. Junichi was one of the greatest renai protagonists, and then they bring out this faggot.
- Yume is starting to annoy me. She managed to be a pretty distinct character up until now, but that’s just because she had no lines, apparently! She’s pretty much just a tsundere Nemu, because the writers decided that they needed a tsundere. Blargh. Kid Yume seemed pretty awesome from the brief flashback we got of her - what happened to that?
- Expanding upon this, they should have just kept the personalities that Yoshiyuki, Yume, and Otome had as kids. We could have genki Yume, secretly emo Otome, and, well, a personality at all for Yoshiyuki. It would be great. But no. Why, Circus, why?
- I actually do like the current Otome, but what’s up with the whole Seigi no Mahoutsukai (Magician of Justice) thing? It’s neat, but it seems totally out of place in Da Capo. And what’s up with the accidents happening around town? Are she and Yoshiyuki going to go start fighting crime? And I can’t help but draw parallels between this and Fate/stay night, you know! Is there gonna be a fucking Heaven’s Feel up in here!? These questions need answering, yo.
- Nanaka appears to have disappeared. Oh well.
- Old Junichi is GAR by virtue of being both old and Junichi. Yeah.
- Even though Anzu is apparently a very important heroine in the game, there was absolutely no reason to devote an entire episode to her, especially since the sum total of it amounted to “Anzu has a tragic past.” If DCIISS were 26 episodes, it wouldn’t matter, but Feel. really, really needs to focus on the main storyline this time around.
- Speaking of focusing on the main storyline, where has Sakura been? We always need some more
NanohaSakura, you know.
Ah, yeah, that’s about it. Is anyone else even watching this show!?
Also, I’ve been playing La Mulana. It’s a fun game. I got sucked into playing it for 6 hours while trying to write this blog post!

1. Pretty much faithful to the game version. Also, great ending in store for the chap.
2. Yume and Otome will be essential to how the whole season will play out. Otome with her inherited magic powers and Yume with her… inherited “Dark Nemu” modes (besides her real power).
3. I guess time changes a lot of things? At least Yoshiyuki changed Otome from a sad, depressed and emo mahou shoujo to a genki-er and more capable mahou shoujo.
4. Magicial of Justice = anime-only. And no, no action in this Da Capo. Let’s just say that… it might be similar to Heaven’s Feel after all…
5. I bawwwww everytime mentions that. Dammit.
6. Fuck yeah, GAR Junichi is GAR, even if he tried (and eventually succeeded on) hitting on his adopted sister.
7. Anzu’s story ain’t over yet. I’m betting that they’re going to tie in “Anzu’s sickness” to “the crimes around town” and “that goddarn sakura tree”. Oshi- It DOES sound like Heaven’s Feel already…
8. If we see more of Sakura, then we would be witnessing far more crimes and fires around Hatsunejima. Read between the lines.
And hey… I hope nobody’s hoping for a bad ending or anything. Just saying..

Yume can get better. She should redeem herself as in the game.
And if anyone’s wishing for more Nanaka… I’d say it’s still possible. Nanaka should also be linked to the darn sakura tree right?
